Message from Exeter's Liberal Democrat PPC Graham Oakes.
"2007 was a great year for the Liberal Democrats here in Exeter. We continued are push to become the largest party on Exeter City Council and we out polled both the other parties in the May elections."
"2008 looks like being an even better year for us and I look forward to welcoming Nick Clegg our new Leader to the City"
"If we top the poll again in May then it will be further evidence that the Lib Dems are set to challenge Ben Bradshaw for his seat at the General election."
"I hope that in 2008 the government will take the environment more seriously, progressing the studies into alternative energy sources such as tidal pools rather than continuing with nuclear power. I hope the Prime Minister will remember he was elected along with all other M.P.s to serve the people and with ditch proposals to hold people without charges and the ridiculous ID cards."
