Cllr. Paul Smith (Alphington) has been appointed the new Lord Mayor for Exeter. Paul has represented Alphington for 12 years and has lived in Exeter for 36 years. He is the Chairman of governors at West Exe Technology College and he has pledged to promote and celebrate young peoples achievements during his year of office.
Cllr. Kevin Mitchell (St James) has been appointed as the Deputy Lord Mayor. Kevin was born in Exeter 32 years ago and works part time as a nurse on Yeo ward at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital specialising in the care of people with cancer.
Southbrook College for children with learning disabilities will be the chosen Mayoral charity for the year ahead.
