Last April, when she was County Councillor for our area, City Councillor Sheila Hobden took up residents' concerns and pressed for a review of the Residents' Parking zone boundaries.
Eight months later, Absolutely nothing has happened!
She also secured a promise that on safety grounds parking restrictions would be proposed for Beech Avenue.
No sign of them!
In respect of the promise that Residents Parking boundaries would be reviewed, it
seems that the Highways Committee is going to set up a Working Party to look at this, but No date has been fixed and it is not expected to meet until February at least!
Sheila said: "These problems were clear twelve months ago and action was promised. This delay is unacceptable. Is this a sign of how the new Tory administration in County Hall is going to respond to residents? Quite rightly they don't think much of it!"
I promise that the Lib Dems will campaign vigorously for more urgent action"
