Our Plan in a Nutshell

Exeter is facing numerous crises: from housing to the environment, safety to the cost of living. An inclusive, evidence-based and cost-effective set of solutions is required to prevent these crises from becoming catastrophes.

Summary of Exeter Lib Dems City Council Manifesto 2022

Our manifesto highlights our desire to shift Council spending back to community-led priorities and to end the centralised 'top-down' approach of the current Labour-led Council. In particular, the huge expense of their City Centre vanity projects and their effect on the Council's ability to sustain services around Exeter.

Other priorities include addressing housing and homelessness, balancing student developments and a series of environmental initiatives.

St Thomas activist and former Council Leader Adrian Fullam said: "Liberal Democrats share the belief that Councillors should be led by the residents they represent - not by a small ideologically driven party faction. Voting Liberal Democrat is a powerful message that our taxes should be spent wisely to enhance the areas where we live."
